Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m a mum to 3 kids (7, 5 and 1) who loves to cook, eat and exercise (the last one probably because of so much of the first 2). I always seem to busy, but usually feel like I’m achieving nothing except cleaning up after the kids and even that is a pointless task most days.

Favourite thing to do on the weekend?

I struggle to ‘do nothing’ and take time out for myself. I feel like I’m being lazy if I spend time on the couch but I recognise the need for me time so the weekends are the perfect chance to take myself off for a long run. There are no time restrictions - hubby can watch the kids and I can zone out and focus on me.

I’m also an avid baker so most weekends will end with an epic cake or a chocolate dessert which is well-deserved after a long run!

How many times a week do you work out?

I run 3 to 4 times a week (I’m currently training for my 1st Marathon and I love trail running), do pilates once and HIIT/body weight training at home 2-4 times.

We know finding the time and energy to work out regularly can be tough. What keeps you motivated?

My stubbornness!!

Also, I believe that exercise and good nutrition are essential to a healthy life; not just for me but for my kids. They learn from what I do ad if I can set a good example for them then they can learn to make their own healthy choices.

I’ve also been signing up for events (running races, obstacle course races) so I have a goal to reach for. If I haven’t trained properly then I won’t be able to make it through the event and I won’t get the bling at the end!

What do you love most about your svvet workout wear?

I really liked the fit of the pants. The pants fitted so snuggly around my bottom without riding up. The different panels in the pants gave it a better fit and I felt much more supported than in my other tights. I could run both comfortably and confidently in the svvet pants, without fear of the waist band falling down or getting a wedgie!

What's your favourite way to treat yourself after your workout?

Definitely Ice Cream on a hot day. I make my own ice creams (usually made with vegetables!) so I can even eat my ice cream guilt free.
